On the first Tuesday of every month, we highlight one of the talented photographers who contribute to #nunagram, a hashtag for Instagrammers in Nunavut.
The concept is pretty simple. We send the Instagrammer a series of questions and then publish their answers here, pretty much unedited. This is a great way for our already strong Instagram community to get to know one another just a little bit better.
The November 2015 Nunagrammer of the Month is @arped17.
The Basics
Name: Angulalik Pedersen
Community: From Kugluktuk and now living in Cambridge Bay
Instagram Handle: @arped17
What do you like to photograph the most?
I take my iPhone with me where I go and photograph what I’m doing during work or on my own. I post to show family and friends what Nunavut has to offer. I love photographing landscapes.
What is your favourite Instagram photo that you’ve taken?
I chose this one because it’s one of my favourite photos I’ve taken and it was in my hometown of Kugluktuk. Brings back a lot of memories of being home with family and picnics on the beaches.
How would you describe your Instagram account to other people?
My account shows experiences possible in Nunavut to those who live and visit our lands.
What cameras and apps do you use to take and edit photos for Instagram?
I usually don’t edit photos, I’ll add a filter here and there but not a lot. I use my iPhone 6 to photograph everything on my Instagram page.
Why do you use Instagram? What do you like about it?
It’s a great user-friendly platform to share my experiences with friends and family.
